Abstract
A temperature-gradient incubator was constructed and used for the growth of Clostridia. With this instrument the minimum, optimum, and maximum temperatures can be obtained for 12 organisms at one time. The incubator can also be adjusted for psychrophiles, mesophiles, and thermophiles.
