Abstract
The author found 95 dental anomalies in 68 of 489 skulls of coyotes (Canis latrans) from central Alberta. Fifty-one teeth were missing from 35 skulls; 13 skulls had 16 extra teeth; 9 skulls had malformed teeth; and 19 skulls had miscellaneous anomalies. Most anomalies occurred at the ends of the cheek-tooth row. Neither sex nor age ratios of coyotes with dental anomalies were different from those of coyotes with typical dentition.
