New Fits to the and Lee–Sugawara Relations

Abstract

We find that the [Formula: see text] sum rule for the nonleptonic Σ decay amplitudes is well satisfied when using the newly reported values of the Σ− decay rate and the Σ0+ asymmetry parameters. Moreover, the mild disagreement which has existed since 1964 with the Lee–Sugawara relation is shown to disappear when the latest data are used. The γ > 0 solution of the Σ0+ decay seems to be favored.
