Indices de réfraction des mélanges MgF2 – PbCl2 et Na3AlF6 – PbCl2

Abstract

An experimental study of the refractive indexes of MgF2–PbCl2 and Na3AlF6–PbCl2 mixtures is presented. These mixtures are produced by vacuum co-evaporation, and the evaporation rates are controlled by a variable-size evaporation source. The refractive index and concentration behavior are described for each mixture by adjusting the form factor of the ellipsoid, generalized Maxwell–Garnett law. We discuss the meaning of this law and the various parameters involved in the mixtures' behavior.
