Abstract
The relative independent yields of Rb, Cs, and In from 233U(d,f) reaction were obtained at incident deuteron energies of 18, 31, and 44 MeV. From these mass distributions, the numbers of neutrons emitted per fission event were obtained and the charge division mechanism was investigated. Results indicated that within the energy region studied, the charge division process remained essentially the same as that for low energy events. The relatively larger widths of Cs distributions are explained in terms of dual stability zones around N = 82 and N = 86–88.
