Eudromoxyura elonbyrdi n. g., n. sp. from the caecum of Eudromia e. elegans and E. e. albida of Argentina is distinguished from all other genera of the Oxyurinae by the presence of an intestinal caecum. Its affinities lie with Syphaciella also from birds.
