Abstract

Two novel lignans, kadsulignan C (4) and D (5), were isolated from the root bark of Kadsura longipedunculata. Their structures, including absolute configurations, were elucidated by 2D 1H–13C long-range COSY experiments and chemical transformation to the known compound 10. Key words: isolation and structure, absolute configuration, kadsulignan C, kadsulignan D, lignans, Kadsura longipedunculata.
