The N–P final state interaction in the 2H(d,np)2H reaction at 12 MeV

Abstract

The energy spectrum of protons in coincidence with deuterons from the reaction d + d → n + p + d at 12 MeV was measured at the following three pairs of angles: θP = 45°, θd = 26.5°; θP = 45°, θd = 28.0°; θP = 45°, θd = 29.5°. The observed spectra can be explained by a superposition of triplet n–p final state interaction and quasifree scattering.
