Abstract
Of the approximately 2300 needles of Abiesbalsamea L. (Mill.) examined each year, 7 and 12% were infected with Uredinopsismirabilis (Peck) Magnus and 23 and 24% were infested with Paradiplosistumifex Gagne during 1982 and 1983, respectively. Of the needles infested with P. tumifex, about 11% were infected with U. mirabilis in both years and, in 1983, 21% were infested with Dasineurabalsamicola (Lintner). All needles infected with U. mirabilis died, including those which also had either P. tumifex or P. tumifex and D. balsamicola.
