Genera coelomycetum. XII. Tracyella and Amerodiscosiella

Abstract

Tracyella (Sacc.) Tassi, type species T. spartinae (Peck) Tassi, is redescribed. Tracyella aristata (Cooke) Tassi is accepted as the second species of the genus, T. andrasovszkyi Moesz is considered as a nomen dubium, and T. julia (Speg.) Moesz and T. minima (B. & C.) Moesz are excluded. It is suggested that a fungus recently reported from graminaceous hosts under the name Amerodiscosiella renispora Farr is in fact T. spartinae. Amerodiscosiella Farr and A. renispora are maintained as distinct, if doubtful, taxa of unknown affinities.
