Abstract
The molecular rotational relaxation time of the aniline molecule in deuterated benzene solution was determined at 20 °C by pulsed nuclear magnetic resonance (n.m.r.) techniques. It was found that the rotational relaxation time, τr, in infinitely dilute deuterated benzene solution was 3.2 × 10−12 s, a value which is in fair agreement with the dielectric molecular relaxation time reported by Grubb and Smyth for aniline in dilute benzene solution.
