Abstract

Eudactylinodes keratophagus sp.nov. is described from specimens found amongst gill lamellae of the horn sharks Heterodontus francisci and H. mexicanus collected from Pacific waters off southern California and the Sea of Cortez, respectively. This is the first record of a eudactylinid copepod from heterodontid elasmobrachs.
