Abstract
The dimensional relationship of foliage weight to stem diameter, or height, in balsam fir (Abiesbalsamea (L.) Mill.) is shown to be strongly age dependent across a range of ages from 5 to 91 years. The relationship changes in a manner that makes extrapolation of regressions from one age-class to another extremely dangerous.
