Abstract
The morphological description of the genus Trichodorus Cobb, 1913, as described by Allen (1957), was emended to include specimens with tail shapes other than bluntly rounded. Trichodorus acutus n. sp. collected from soil about the roots of gloxinia was described and figured. Anteriorly its tail shape was convex-conoid, then conoid to an acute or slightly rounded terminus. The allometry of T. acutus was discussed with special reference to ratios commonly used for taxonomic purposes.
