Abstract
The spectrum of tin has been observed on a 6.650 m normal incidence spectrograph at the Zeeman Laboratory in Amsterdam in the region 700–1300 Å. The source used was a sliding spark operated under different experimental conditions. The transitions 4d85p → 4d85s in Sn VI have been identified and all levels belonging to the 4d85s and 4d85p configurations have been established. The level values of the levels 4d8(3F)5p4F7/20 and 4d8(3P)5p4D1/20 reported earlier have been revised from 326 654.3 to 326 591.7 cm−1 and from 335 288.4 to 335 353.0 cm−1, respectively. The parametric level fitting calculations are in good agreement with the present analysis. Two hundred and forty-six additional lines in this spectrum have been classified. Revised energy level values for Sn V spectrum have also been calculated.
