Abstract
Haploids were induced in Triticum ventricosum Ces. following intergeneric hybridization with Hordeum bulbosum L. (2n = 4x = 28) at a frequency of 8% of pollinated florets. The average chiasma frequency in the polyhaploids was 0.46 indicating negligible homoeology between the component genomes (DvMv).
