Abstract
Hemocytes of the potato aphid, Macrosiphum euphorbiae, were examined as suspended cells in a few drops of fixative or anticoagulant. Five types of hemocytes were identified: prohemocytes, plasmatocytes, granular hemocytes, spherule cells, and oenocytoids. Wax cells are also present. Differential hemocyte counts were made in stages II, III, IV, and adult; total hemocyte counts were made in stages III, IV, and adult.
