Abstract
Measurements are reported on single crystals of cesium aluminium alum containing Ti3+ ions in concentrations between 0.05 and 0.5 %.Three nonequivalent complexes are located with the z axis along each of the four cube diagonal directions, that is, there appear to be 12 possible sites for a complex in each unit cell. The effective g factors for the three nonequivalent sets of complexes are shown below:[Formula: see text]The lines due to complex I are asymmetrical and have a width of from 50 to 100 Oe, these lines being similar to those reported for the Ti3+ complex in corundum. The lines due to complex III are symmetrical and have a width between 150 and 200 Oe.
