Abstract
Nuclear bridges were observed in human cells of malignant origin and a small proportion of PHA-stimulated normal human lymphocytes (3.8%). Such structures were not seen in benign tissue or lymphocytes cultured without PHA. Classification of such bridges on the basis of morphologic development suggests a process leading to an abnormal nuclear division yielding hypodiploid micro-nuclei. H3-thymidine incorporation studies indicate that these bridges contain DNA.
