Abstract
Application of multivariate and univariate statistical techniques to data for 20 attributes of three strains of Tetrahymena pyriformis demonstrates the morphological uniqueness of each strain. Extension of these techniques to other strains may yield purely morphological criteria for taxonomic discrimination among syngens of this or other "species."
