Abstract
Different methods of solving partial-wave dispersion relations are presented, and special forms of these relations which can be reduced to the solution of the Fredholm integral equation have been examined in some detail. The analyticity of the resulting scattering amplitude in terms of the square of the coupling constant is studied, and the impossibility of generating the complete scattering amplitude from the lowest term of its expansion in powers of the coupling constant has been shown.
