Abstract
Silicified lignite erratics were collected from several localities in the Wood Mountain uplands of south-central Saskatchewan. The silicified debris is predominantly compressed stems and bladed grasses with micro-strandline accumulations of finely divided carbonaceous particles liberated from the lignite during silicification. The silicified lignite specimens have not been observed in situ, but are associated with exposures of Tertiary formations. The identification of the source strata is problematic.
