Abstract
In previous work, two mutations that resulted in lower levels of yellow pigment in flour had been produced in 'Agatha' wheat which carries a wheat–Agropyron translocation. To determine whether the mutations involved the gene for yellow pigment or a suppressor at another locus, the two mutants were crossed with 'Neepawa' and 'Manitou.' Segregation for a suppressor did not occur in the F2 and F3 generations. Thus it appeared that the mutations involved the pigment locus.Key words: Triticum, translocation, yellow pigment, Agropyron.
