Abstract
The haemoproteids of the avian family Capitonidae are reviewed. Haemoproteus thereicerycis de Mello, 1935 and H. xantholaemae Zargar, 1945 are redescribed; H. bilobata n.sp. and H. cornuata n.sp. are described. Haemoproteid records from the Capitonidae are summarized and their zoogeography discussed.
