Abstract
The degradation of phosphonic acid analogues of L-α-lecithins and L-α-ceohalins by acetolysis and by lecithinase C from Clostridium welchii was investigated. The acetolysis of both types of phosphonolipids gives in good yields aceto-α,β-diglycerides. Lecithinase C hydrolyzes the phosphonic acid analogues of L-α-lecithins with the formation of D-α,β-diglycerides, but under the same experimental conditions does not react with the phosphonic acid analogues of L-α-cephalins, Thus L-α-lecithins and L-α-cephalins, and the corresponding phosphonic acid analogues behave in an identical manner towards these reagents.
