Abstract
The CP-violating ratio ε′ / ε and the top-quark mass are estimated using the value of | vub / vcb | extracted in the framework of the AltarelliCabbiboCorboMaianiMartinelli model along with the statistical model. It has been suggested that CabbiboKobyaschiMasakawa matrix elements play an important role in determining the value of ε′ / ε; the enhanced value of ε′ / ε can be obtained without lowering the strange-quark mass. The dependence of this important ratio on other parameters is also discussed with interesting conclusions. PACS Nos.: 12.30, 13.00, 12.20
