Abstract
The exchange of the cyclopentadienyl anion between indium and thallium is reported along with exchange reactions between cyclopentadienylindiums, substituted with H, D, and CH3. The pyrolysis of numerous hydrocarbons in presence of thallium to give the corresponding cyclopentadienylthallium derivative is described and related to the structure of the starting material.
