Abstract
The partial pressure of KAlF4 over K3AlF6–KAlF4 melts at temperatures as high as 815 °C was measured by thermogravimetry. Melt activities were calculated from the measurements. The results are discussed with reference to the use of this salt mixture as a flux for aluminum alloys.
