Abstract
The chromatographic behaviour of calmodulin (CaM) has been studied. We show two species eluted in different places on Sepharose 4B. We demonstrate that the relative amount of these two species is calcium dependent. The entrapment of calmodulin in liposomes is possible. The study of the entrapment conditions shows that only one of the two species is able to be trapped. We show that the encapsulation of calmodulin is three times higher when calcium is present.
