Abstract
The quantum chromodynamics radiative corrections to heavy quarkonium s-state parameters are studied using Stevenson's principle of minimal sensitivity to define the renormalization. We obtain good results using a nonrelativistic confining potential to generate wave functions to fit the experimental data for the hyperfine splittings as well as the leptonic widths.
