Abstract
By electrolyzing baths of molten CaCl2 containing perovskite(CaO.TiO2), a compound within the ternary Ca–Ti–O system, namely CaO.Ti2O3, has been obtained. The compound has been identified by chemical analysis, and its crystallographic data have been determined by X-ray means. Attempts to synthesize the compound apart from the electrolytic cell have, so far, failed.
