Abstract
The O2(Δg–3Σg−)0,1 band at a wavelength of 1.58 μ has been observed in the day airglow with a ground-based scanning grating spectrometer. The observations were made near local noon in March, 1968, at 45.2 °N., 75.5° W. with the line of sight of the spectrometer directed towards the zenith. A spectrum with a resolution of 2 Å was obtained by employing signal averaging techniques. The brightness of the 0,1 band was approximately 630 kR.
