Study of moving striations in plasma. II. Investigation of the validity of the microwave and the probe measuring techniques

Abstract

Two methods have been proposed recently for the direct oscillographic display of the electron-density variations and of the electron-temperature variations in a plasma. The purpose of this paper is to define some criteria that will establish the validity of these measuring techniques in the actual experimental discharge conditions.
