Ternary charge transfer complexes. V. Complexes with thiazyl salts

Abstract

Charge transfer complexes NS+MFn−•arene, where M = B, n = 4; M = P, As, or Sb, n = 6; and arene is hexamethylbenzene, mesitylene, napthalene, or 9,10-dimethylanthracene, have been prepared and characterized. The reaction of NS + MF6− (M = As or Sb) with highly oriented pyrolytic graphite results in graphite intercalated only with the metal fluoride anions.
