Abstract
The distribution of 14C within lycopodine derived from [1,5-14C]-cadaverine and from [2-14C]-Δ1 -piperideine is profoundly affected by the addition of inactive pelletierine. This finding is interpreted as showing that pelletierine is an obligatory intermediate on the pathway from cadaverine and Δ1-piperideine into lycopodine.
