Abstract
A conversion product of injected 14C-labelled estrone in hen's urine which was formerly identified tentatively as 16-ketoestrone was shown to contain approximately 90% nonketonic material that corresponded in chromatographic mobility with estradiol-17α, a known urinary conversion product of injected estradiol-17β or estrone. Contrary to the previous suggestion, therefore, 16-ketoestrone is not a major urinary conversion product of injected estrone.
