Abstract
Spawning behaviour of the chestnut lamprey, Ichthyomyzon castaneus, was observed June 11 and 12, 1968, in coarse gravel near the tailrace of a dam in the Rat River, Manitoba, a tributary of the Red River. No description of spawning behaviour of this species has been previously published.
