Abstract
The solid state structures of three compounds belonging to the Δ-2 imidazoline series have been compared. X-ray data and molecular parameters are given. It is noteworthy to point out that substituents are trans to one another in these structures. Moreover, the spatial orientation of the carbonyl group attached to C(4) depends on the nature of the substituent attached to nitrogen N(3). In addition, results are in close agreement with those of nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy.
