Abstract
The HgZn exciplex was produced in the B0+ state by irradiatinga HgZn vapour mixture at temperatures in the range 600900°C with 2572 Å cw or 2660 Å pulsed laser light. The B0+ [Formula: see text] X0+ fluorescence band was recorded, as well as the time evolutions of various components present in the fluorescence spectrum, providing some additional insight into the possible mechanism of the exciplex formation.PACS Nos.: 33.50, 33.70.H, 33.90
