Abstract
A small otter trawl, 2.5 m wide by 5.5 m long, is described and a method for its use by two operators from a small boat (3–5 m long) powered by an outboard motor is discussed. This small trawl proved efficient in the rapid collection of large numbers of benthic and epibenthic organisms in lakes at depths between 5 and 100 m.
