Abstract
The response to mildew of a range of Malus species is tabulated. Crosses of M. robusta and M. zumi with cultivated apple showed clear segregation in 1:1 ratios of field immune: susceptible plants. Crosses of resistant selections of M. platycarpa and M. hupehensis with cultivated apple gave only immune progeny in F1
