Abstract
On the basis of studies of wood sections the orientations of anticlinal partitions were established over two cambial areas, of 70 cm2 and 90 cm2, in Thuja stem during a few successive years. Similar determinations were also performed over longer time periods in limited sections of cambium in Thuja, Larix, and Pinus. The term "domain" was introduced to designate a sector of the cambium where anticlinal partitions are tilted in one direction. It is shown that the domains differ in size and that the domain pattern changes with time.
