Abstract
Laser spectroscopy of calcium using two-photon absorption has produced the high Rydberg states of the 4nsn1S0 and 4snd1D21F3 series. The spectra recorded 1S0 states up to n = 35 while the nd1D2 transitions are extended to n = 86. A new series tentatively assigned as 4snf1F3 has been resolved up to n = 58. Comparison of the experimental values with the calculated values based on the multichannel quantum-defect theory developed by previous investigators has been presented.
