Abstract
Using exact wave functions of the cranked triaxial harmonic oscillator model in coordinate space, an expression for the single-particle probability current density is derived. This expression, valid to all orders in the angular velocity is then used to calculate current distributions for some typical harmonic oscillator single-particle states. Comparisons with perturbative first-order calculations indicate differences at high angular velocities where new features of the current distributions become apparent. This suggests the extension of the present calculations to real nuclei.
