Abstract
The thermal decomposition of phenyl methyl sulphide was investigated in a flow system in an excess of toluene. The main products were methane, thiophenol, and dibenzyl. The primary mode of decomposition was ascribed to the reaction[Formula: see text]The rate constant for this process was given by the expression[Formula: see text]
