Spectra of the d1Σ+–c1Π and d1Σ+–b1Σ+ systems and dissociation energy of NH and ND

Abstract

Spectra of the d1Σ+–c1Π system of NH and ND and the d1Σ+–b1Σ+ system of NH have been observed which substantially extend previous data. The following equilibrium constants have been derived (in units of cm−1):[Formula: see text]Observation of predissociation in the c1Π state yields the following upper limits on the dissociation energy: D00 (NH) ≤ 3.47 eV and D00 (ND) ≤ 3.54 eV.
