Électroionisation des alcalins : mise au point d'un nouvel appareil de mesure

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to describe a new instrument capable of measuring the electroionization efficiency curves of the alkali metals. In particular, a conceptually new ion source is presented whose main characteristic is the sequential application of pulses to certain electrodes, which allows the ionization of the atoms and the injection of the ions into a mass filter to occur at different times. The performance of the apparatus is discussed, and preliminary results are presented.
