Abstract
Mycosphaerella mycopappi sp.nov. was found in overwintered leaves of Acer macrophyilum Pursh occupying exclusively the zonate spots associated with Stigmina zilleri Funk of the previous autumn. Observations on new leaves in midsummer revealed the presence of Mycopappus aceris (Deam. & Barth.) Redhead & White in Stigmina-like leaf spots. Cultures made from all three morphs were compared and proved to be similar.
