Abstract
Decomposition of γ-unsaturated substituted peroxides in a good hydrogen donor solvent can lead to two diastereoisomeric oxetans. An intramolecular 1,5 hydrogen shift followed by a cyclization may compete with the homolytic intramolecular substitution following the first addition step.
