Abstract
Gain measurements are used as a basis of a technique for the evaluation of isotope shifts. The technique is applied to the 0.63 μ and 1.15 μ transitions in 20Ne and 22Ne. Isotope shifts of 1052 ± 100 and 257 ± 25 mHz were observed for the 0.63 μ and 1.15 μ transitions respectively. These values are compared with results obtained by other methods.
